What you need.

1/2 cup margarin or butter
1/2 cup shortening
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 eggs
2 3/4 cup floor
2 teaspoons cream of tarter
1 teaspoon soda
1/2 teaspoon salt.

Mix thoroughly.
Form in 1" balls and roll in plain sugar or sugar and cinamon mixed. Bake 8 to 10 minutes at 400 degrees.

Cookies will puff up, then flatten out and tops will crackle. Don't overbake!
