MOIST CHOCOLATE CAKE SUPREME
This chocolate cake is dark and moist and absolutely delicious.
I made this cake for our 4th of July picnic the year Jeff and Brock were home on vacation.
Six months later, in a telephone conversation, Brock reminded me that he sure liked that chocolate cake!
Combine in a bowl:
2 cups sugar
1 cup cocoa
¼ teaspoon salt
1 cup cooking oil
Add:
2 eggs (one at a time)
1 tablespoon vanilla
Combine:
2 cups warm water
2 teaspoons baking soda
Add this mixture alternately to the chocolate mixture with:
2¼ cup flour
The first and last additions should be flour. Pour into a greased and floured
9x13 inch pan.
The batter will be very thin. Bake at 350 for approximately 45 minutes, or until the cake tests done .
If you stick a toothpick in the center it should come out clean.
