AUNT LENA'S FRIED CHICKEN
Aunt Lena told me that when she fried chicken, she used Bisquick to roll the chicken in.
She would season it with salt, pepper, and a little paprika and fry it in a combination of butter and lard until nice and brown.
Butter-flavored Crisco works just as well and imparts the butter flavor to the chicken.
